It may feel counterintuitive to think about Landscape Design in the winter, but winter planning gives you more flexibility to explore and create unique landscape design ideas.
Planning in the winter months affords you greater freedom and time to expand your vision with months to go before your landscape designer and landscape team can "break ground". Winter months are an opportunity to consider unique plant choices you may otherwise overlook. This allows you to think outside the "window box." You and your designer will have time to order any plant material that may otherwise not be readily available at your local nursery.
If you wait until the weather warms up, often means your landscape design team will be working on many projects planned months before. Depending on the size of the project, this could delay the completion of a design and install up to as many as 6 months. Now is the best time to contact your landscape designer and create an outdoor space distinctive to your palette, interests and requirements.
